Another firm favourite with keen gardeners is vermiculite and when you want to retain water than choose to add vermiculite to your chosen media.

Vermiculite is a natural sterile soft mica mineral with great water holding and insulation properties. It also offers a high cation exchange capacity which means it will slowly release nutrients back to your plant which it has absorbed during watering.

Using Vermiculite can also aid propagation when used as a top layer as it reduces evaporation and can help ensure the seed case is lost. By using Vermiculite, you can also reduce plant stress in extreme weather conditions due to its insulation properties.

Vermiculite is easy and safe to handle and odourless whilst also being lightweight and simple to use.

Vermiculite can be used for propagation from seed - its retention of water makes it good for sustaining the growth of seeds; potting compost for container planting - it retains moisture whilst protecting against adverse weather and aids re-wetting; and soil conditioning - its excellent water holding capabilities makes it an excellent addition to sandy soils or dried out ground.

Installation Instructions

Hang the heater in the middle of the room and plug it in to the mains (60-100m2)

Remove all traces of old sulfur in the container and do not use more than 24g of sulphur each time.

Make sure the cup is on the heater plate correctly

When diseases or pest appear for best results use the heater for 4 to 5 hours during lights off

Standard

The standard fan can be connected in two ways:

Continuous operation: In this mode, the fan will always be on. The second gear can be turned on and off using a separate switch installed in the power line.

Switchable: In this mode, the fan can be turned on and off completely. To do this, use a double switch, where each key controls a different gear.

Timer

Fans with a timer (T) can be connected in the same two ways as the standard fan. In addition, the timer allows you to set the fan to turn off after a certain amount of time. The default setting is 30 minutes, but this can be changed.

Humidity

Fans with a humidity sensor (H) will automatically switch to the second gear when the humidity level in the room exceeds 70%. The fan will switch back to the first gear after 15 minutes if the humidity level drops below 70%.

PIR

Fans with a motion sensor (R) will automatically switch to the second gear when they detect movement in the room. The fan will switch back to the first gear after 15 minutes if the motion sensor does not detect any movement.

Add CANNA COCO A & B to the nutrient reservoir with the dilution ratio 1:250 (40 ml A and 40 ml B per 10 litre of water). 

Add CANNA COCO A to the nutrient reservoir Stir well, then add CANNA Coco B Again, stir well and let mixture stand for some hours

The EC of Coco dissolved in (tap) water varies between 1.2 - 2.3 mS/cm2 (= the solution EC + the water EC)

Recommended pH: 5.5 - 6.2
